I grew up in Michigan and live in Seattle. I started my career building websites. These days I work in operations and finance, but I never quite stopped making things for the web.
I write essays and notes that borrow ideas from engineering and follow them into other places. Running, history, organizations, and, increasingly, machines have all been involved.
There's a night sky here because I love outer space, and a garden because I'm learning Japanese and fascinated by its earlier history. The photographs are mapped by where I stood and which way the camera faced.
